Where to begin… This site has brought me down on my knees and made me cry out in only a way Darth Vader could, “Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!”

Actually it has been pretty smooth sailing with this site. I have learnt quite a bit of what not to do in terms of layout for future reference which is a marvelous help. One of the major issues arose from the colour system conflicting with the images. I have decided that I personally love the colour white!

I am very happy with how the buttons worked out!

This blog service recently went down. It was attacked by mutant ninja hackers... really it was!

Alas all of the images on this blog it would seem have vanished! I am going to try and replace these images but, I don’t think I will get them all.

Okay, I thought it was time for an update! What better way to update then half-intoxicated from my unfortunate study habits of drinking whilst working… Right on with the show.

Currently, I am developing the site to be athletically pleasing for the intended audience. Oh course, I will not know how the site will go down with the audience until obvious testing, yay the whole point of this to see what comic art styles are valued and which are not.

Anyways the site is almost on its way to completion. The next step will be drawing up the content.

I have three comics which I will be constructing:- undeadTEDDIES; VIDEO PIRACY; Random. Two will be computer generated and one will be traditionally hand drawn.

The clothing side is totally under control with around fifteen designs to date and more to come.

NURSE BLEDSWORTH

This character actually came about from an accidental spelling and design fuck up. A while ago I went to a queer formal and was told that yes indeed this was a trashy formal and a dress up was a must. So, I don a nurse’s outfit made up very trash/slut and arrive to a formal where it would seem I was the only one that dressed up!

When designing the nurses outfit I was trying to write ‘Bleeding Heart’s Cosmetic Surgery’ instead I missed an ‘e’ in ‘bleeding’ so it became ‘Nurse Bledsworth’.

I was drawing a random image the other day and some how this character ‘Nurse Bledsworth’ jumped out from the pen. I am at the point of polishing off her appearance.

BIO:

NAME: Honey Bledsworth

DOB: unknown but looks around mid 20’s (there have been some that think she is a vampire – do you?)

OCCUPATION: Nurse at Bleeding Hearts Cosmetic Surgery

BACKGROUND:  Has an endless knowledge of Art History dating through the ages (thus why she is promoting the shirts – because they are soooooooo good!)

APPEARANCE: Like medusa’s snakes she has bleeding red hair (sounds gross but oh so hot); Labret piercing; pale skin; skull and cross bone pupils; spike collar; nurse’s uniform bra revealing; black fishnet arm stocking on right arm; tattoo on left arm (possible Harley Quinn – batman); red leg fishnet stockings; darker red heels.  

Initial thoughts:

Originally, I decided to change my project to a strict clothing idea. In which this site would incorporate a ‘do-it-yourself’ t-shirt design page. This would be made up in flash and would allow the user to, with my designs, text, images and place them onto a shirt where they chose. When this is completed they would send me the design with the allocated money and I would screen print this shirt and mail it to them.

I am straying a little away from this earlier contemplation. Rather than offering the user to create their own shirt, I am just going to design them myself to begin with. This is to get a grasp of the audience on offer and what particular designs gain the most attention. An experiment before I actually create the ‘do-it-yourself’ site.  

Thus, basically this is an experimental site.

Again, I will be targeting my works towards the age group of sixteen to thirty year olds and the Gothic; Punk; Indie culture.

I have decieded to give my target audience a character to relate/ associate and host them with the site. A full character description will be given later.

BASIC IDEA:

undergroundRIOT t-shirt designs Do It Yourself

website that allows consumer's to create t-shirts with my designs, add their own personal text, additional basic design features. The browser once finished emails their shirt design to myself along with the specific bank details and other needed details. Once everything is confirmed (i.e. money legit) I make their shirt and send it.

What I need to do:

Ø                  Investigate other online shirt sites - - get idea's

Ø                  Find out legal details (copy write issues, can I use bonds shirts?)

Ø                  Contemplate interactive design component – where the user will design the t-shirt

Ø                  Design Logo for shirts (to be positioned on all DIY shirts
